Founded in 1994 following the acquisition of the mechanical engineering division of GMN by the Könnemann Group, Genauigkeits Maschinenbau Nürnberg GmbH (G&N) develops and manufactures high precision surface grinding machines at its headquarters in Erlangen near Nuremberg.

G&N’s product portfolio ranges from small manual to automatic surface grinding machines for large batch sizes. The machines can be equipped with magnetic chucks or vacuum chucks so that metallic as well as non-metallic materials, including brittle and difficult-to-machine materials for a variety of high-tech applications, can be ground.

Our machines are renowned for their durability as well as precision and accuracy down to less than 1 micrometer. Up-to-date over 16,000 machines have been built and delivered to customers around the globe.
