Wesgo Ceramics GmbH, a subsidiary of the British Morgan Advanced Materials Group, manufactures technical ceramics as insulators for high-tech products. Another important specialization of our company is the distribution of solders and metal alloys from our sister company Wesgo Metals USA for applications in the medical technology, metrology, aerospace, and electronics and energy industries.

We offer precious and non-precious metal brazing alloys, active brazing alloys and pre-sintered preforms (PSP), as well as solder resist. Wesgo Ceramics GmbH was founded in 1972 in Erlangen, Germany, and emerged from the company of the same name in Belmont, California (USA), which has been in existence since 1927. We use our years of experience to continuously develop brazing technology.

Our products and materials include...

Brazing alloys

Based on your drawings, our engineers will work with you to develop products from precious or non-precious metal vacuum brazing alloys or melt-spun foils. Our brazing alloys are available in various shapes and sizes: as discs, foils, rings and in powder or paste form.

Active brazing alloys (ABA)

Active brazing alloys wet ceramic and other oxidic surfaces, so metallization of the ceramic, for example, is no longer necessary. They enable a one-step soldering process and the production of vacuum-tight joints. They are available as foil, wire, paste, powder and solder shapes.

Stopyt

Stopyt®, an inert solder resist, is a suspension of an organic solvent and inert oxides. It prevents the uncontrolled flow of liquid brazing alloys during the soldering process. Wesgo Ceramics GmbH offers two types of Stopyt®, which are either sprayed on, applied by dipping or brushed on.

Pre-Sintered Preform Products (PSP™)

Wesgo Ceramics GmbH offers a wide range of Pre-Sintered Preforms (PSP); a product made by sintering superalloy and brazing powders. PSP products are available in sheet form, but can also be tailored specifically to your applications. They are mainly used in the aerospace industry, e.g. for repairing cracks in engines.

Brazing of ceramics or metal in vacuum or under inert gas up to 1400°C.
