Established in 1885 by the metalsmith Philipp Persch, the Company Persch is one of the oldest manufacturers of mechanical equipment in Idar-Oberstein, the famous town of jewellery and gemstones.

In reason of having no own children, Mr. Persch decided to leave the workshop to his best worker Rudolf Henn, under the condition to keep his name in honour.

In the 1950s, Fritz, Rudolf's son, established the production of diamond cutting blades, especially for the gem cutters around Idar-Oberstein.

In year 1965, we enlarged our production, which was specialized for gemstone industry, to electroplated saws, grinders and drills for fiber glass, ceramics and glass industries.
Kurt Henn, the son of Fritz Henn supports the development of the factory since the beginning of the 1970s. Hereupon we added the manufacturing of sinter bound diamond and CBN-tools in metal bound manner.

In beginning of 2003 we moved from the city of Idar-Oberstein to our new built factory, situated Rothheck 16 in industry region "Dickesbacher Weg".

End of 2013 we changed to a limited commercial partnership. Son Bert entered into the company as a limited partner. The general management is still in the hands of Kurt Henn.

In reason of continuous technical development and extensive experiences in constructing individual diamond tools, we are able to satisfy very special demands.
