The VDWF “totally wild” in the Sauerland: Stalactites, technology, and lively discussions
On November 18 and 19, 2026, the VDWF is hosting the next edition of its CEO Meetup, titled “voll wild.” The event will be hosted by automotive supplier Gedia in Attendorn-Ennest. In addition to a keynote speech and factory tours, the program includes a guided tour of the spectacular Atta Cave as well as an evening networking event.
“totally wild” is the VDWF’s executive networking event, which brings together executives from the tool and mold making industry several times a year. The events in this series provide professional insights into current industry topics while also offering a space for casual networking. “‘voll wild’ is all about learning from one another—both professionally and personally”, says VDWF Managing Director Ralf Dürrwächter. “It’s a gathering of people who face—and want to tackle—the same challenges. And when you get to know each other better in a relaxed setting, business exchanges end up working much better.” In November 2026, the VDWF will be stopping in Attendorn in the Sauerland region, where around 100 guests from all over Germany are expected.
Guided Tour of the Stalactite Cave
The event kicks off on Wednesday, November 18, in the late afternoon: After the customary round of introductions at the hotel, a short walk will take the group to Atta Cave, where they can marvel at the stalactites and stalagmites in the “Queen of Stalactite Caves” during a guided tour. Afterward, participants will have the opportunity to mingle and network in a relaxed atmosphere during an evening event.
The main event day on Thursday, November 19, will be entirely dedicated to the host, Gedia, a specialist in the development and production of lightweight body and chassis components. In addition to a company presentation and a keynote speech on artificial intelligence, participants can look forward to a tour of Gedia’s in-house toolmaking facility and its hot-forming production line.
The evening events in the “voll wild” series offer not only entertainment and culinary delights, but also an opportunity for casual networking with industry representatives
Shuttle Bus to the Event
As a special service, the VDWF is providing a shuttle bus to the event—driven by Timo Schweikert, managing director of VDWF member company Schweikert. The bus departs from Stuttgart, stops in Heilbronn and Mannheim, and will take guests back to these stops after the event concludes.
The VDWF thanks the event’s sponsors for their generous support: Form+Werkzeug, Gedia Automotive Group, Moulding Expo, Tecnorm, and Vapic.
