DN Solutions acquires German high-end machine tool manufacturer HELLER:
Annual revenue is expected to reach approximately €2 billion.
Dynamic growth of machine tool giant DN Solutions through HELLER integration – HELLER’s 130 years of experience and broad customer base as a foundation for growth
Nürtingen / Seoul, August 27, 2025 – DN Solutions, the world’s third-largest and Korea’s leading manufacturer of machine tools, announced on August 27 that it has signed an agreement to acquire the HELLER Group, a German manufacturer of state-of-the-art machine tools.
With its more than 130-year history, HELLER, founded in 1894, stands for globally leading technology in machining centers and is recognized as a specialist for demanding high-precision processes.
Following completion of the acquisition, DN Solutions’ consolidated annual revenue is expected to reach approximately €2 billion.

On August 26, Kim Won-jong, CEO of DN Solutions, met with the Heller family, the largest shareholder of HELLER Holding SE & Co. KGaA, in Nürtingen, Germany, and signed an agreement to acquire all shares.
With this acquisition, DN Solutions gains access to HELLER’s globally leading machining center technology, developed over more than 130 years. The acquisition expands DN Solutions’ portfolio and strengthens the company’s position as a premium brand in the global machine tool market.
By combining their production networks, the two companies will become an even stronger global partner for their customers. HELLER operates five major plants in Germany, the United Kingdom, the USA, Brazil, and China, while DN Solutions runs production sites in Korea and China and is also planning a new plant in India.
This global production network provides both companies with the flexibility to respond effectively to regional demand fluctuations, supply chain changes, and shifts in trade policy. In particular, the U.S. plant will help mitigate the impact of recent changes in U.S. tariff policy.
With more than 130 years of experience in the machine tool industry and a broad installed base, HELLER brings extensive service expertise and valuable resources. This know-how enhances DN Solutions’ innovative strength and reinforces its commitment to delivering top-level service to customers worldwide.
HELLER also has a proven track record of working with leading global companies in the automotive, aerospace, and defense industries—sectors that demand the highest levels of technological expertise. This experience allows DN Solutions to gain even deeper insights into key customer industries.
Through integration into DN Solutions, HELLER gains financial strength and benefits from synergies arising from a solid capital base, a global sales network, and a broad product portfolio. Together, the two companies expect higher revenues, improved cost competitiveness through economies of scale, and enhanced profitability.
Both companies aim to complete the required approval processes quickly and then fully unlock the potential of their synergies.
DN Solutions CEO Kim Won-jong stated:
“DN Solutions has established itself in global competition. By combining our strengths with HELLER’s 130 years of expertise in machining centers, this partnership will deliver groundbreaking innovations for the manufacturing industry. Furthermore, both companies will provide unique added value to their customers and further consolidate their position as a premium brand in the global machine tool market.”
Dr. Thorsten Schmidt, CEO of HELLER, added:
“This partnership gives us the opportunity to accelerate innovation and expand our global reach. By combining HELLER’s process expertise with the strong resources and dynamic spirit of DN Solutions, we will set new benchmarks in the machine tool industry.”
