Turnkey solutions for flexible manufacturing - GST at GrindingHub 2026
GST Grinder GmbH is showcasing itself at GrindingHub in Stuttgart as a long-established company with a clear focus on the future. For decades, GST has stood for high-precision external cylindrical grinding machines “Made in Austria” – individually developed and precisely tailored to customer requirements. The takeover by the Techco Group in autumn 2025 marked an important milestone. The group brings together several technology-oriented companies and creates a strong network spanning mechanical engineering, automation and engineering. For GST, this means additional stability and pooled expertise – whilst maintaining the same high levels of flexibility and customer focus.
Turnkey rather than individual machines – the entire process in focus
GST sees itself not merely as a machine manufacturer, but as a provider of comprehensive turnkey solutions. The focus is always on the entire manufacturing process – from workpiece analysis and the design of the grinding technology right through to the complete integration of all auxiliary units and automation steps. Customers receive a coordinated complete system in which the machine, loading, measurement technology, cleaning and process control mesh seamlessly. GST also offers maximum flexibility when it comes to the choice of cooling lubricant: applications can be implemented using either oil or emulsion – tailored to the workpiece, process and quality requirements.
Technological diversity for maximum precision
A key feature of GST technology is the wide range of grinding processes. Both CBN and aluminium oxide grinding wheels can be used – and, depending on the application, combined within a single process. This allows different machining requirements to be optimally met. In addition, intelligent functions such as cylinder compensation, integrated measuring systems and adaptive process controls ensure consistently high quality and process reliability. The result is stable manufacturing processes combined with high productivity.
Shared location – pooled expertise
Another key to success is the close collaboration with NOMOTEC Automation GmbH, which also belongs to the Techco Group. The move to the shared site in Sierndorf has created valuable synergies. Development, automation and engineering expertise now mesh seamlessly. For customers, this means that, in addition to the grinding machine, they can receive a fully integrated automation solution on request – from loading systems right through to complex robotic solutions. This results in end-to-end production systems from a single source.
Flexible manufacturing as a key to success
Flexible manufacturing has been a central component of the GST philosophy for many years. The shift from traditional three-shift production to flexible, multi-variant manufacturing concepts was recognised early on and consistently implemented. GST machines enable quick, simple and largely automatic changeovers to different workpieces. This enables customers to respond efficiently to fluctuating production volumes and increasing product variety. Under the motto “Grinding made for you”, solutions are created that are precisely tailored to the specific production requirements.
New operational strength at the Sierndorf site
Since March 2026, Dr Florian Schüssler, MSc, has been strengthening the operational management at the Sierndorf site as Managing Director. With his technical background in mechanical engineering and his specialisation in efficiency improvement, he brings fresh impetus to the company’s further development. Together with Radovan Ivetić, MBA, who continues to serve as Managing Director, a clear division of responsibilities is being implemented: strategic continuity on the one hand, operational execution and on-site presence on the other.
Preserving tradition – shaping the future
Despite its integration into a strong corporate group, GST remains true to its roots. Short decision-making processes, high engineering expertise and a commitment to delivering bespoke customer solutions continue to define the corporate culture. Development, testing and optimisation take place in Sierndorf – with the aim of delivering the highest precision and quality. The combination of turnkey expertise, technological diversity and flexible manufacturing makes GST a strong partner for modern production processes.
GrindingHub 2026 – Thinking holistically about processes
At GrindingHub, GST will demonstrate how grinding technology, automation and process integration can be combined to form high-performance complete solutions.
