Walter returns to AMB – and is banking on ‘The Right Match’

09. July 2026

For the first time in eight years, Walter is back at the AMB in Stuttgart. From 15 to 19 September 2026, the Tübingen-based machining specialists will be showcasing tailor-made solutions under the slogan “The Right Match”, which will benefit customers throughout the entire process chain.

Market demands and Walter’s response: “The Right Match”

The demands on the metalworking industry continue to rise: companies must simultaneously improve productivity, quality, cost-effectiveness and sustainability. New materials, shorter development times, cost pressures and the desire for stable, reproducible processes are increasing the complexity of manufacturing.

Walter addresses these challenges with a holistic approach. “The Right Match” describes the moment when requirements, specific applications, suitable technology and technical advice come together to create tangible added value for manufacturing. The aim is to find the best solution – both technically and economically – for every manufacturing task – as a well-thought-out combination of tools, engineering expertise, digital solutions and service.

This philosophy also shapes Walter’s exhibition presence at AMB 2026. The stand brings to life what “The Right Match” means in practice: focus, advice and concrete solutions for demanding applications in modern machining.

The exhibition stand as a tour along the process chain

Visitors are guided along the process chain at the Walter exhibition stand. The starting point is typical manufacturing challenges: from the planning and design of a process, through the selection of suitable tools and machining strategies, to services such as reconditioning and recycling.

Using practical examples from the key sectors of aerospace, automotive and general mechanical engineering, Walter demonstrates how different areas of expertise are translated into concrete manufacturing solutions. This highlights how process planning, tooling solutions, digital support and service offerings work together to improve productivity, process reliability and sustainability.

Above all, the tour aims to convey one key message to visitors: high-performance machining is achieved when the specific application is fully understood and matched with the appropriate technical solution. It is precisely this philosophy that Walter summarises as “The Right Match”.
