Wernesgrüner Tool Symposium 2025 – Focusing on Competitiveness

23. January 2025

From 13 to 15 May 2025, Wernesgrün will once again host its major event under the motto: "Clear your mind, unleash ideas, and bring innovations to life!" This grand gathering of the tool grinding family is dedicated this time to the theme, “Maintaining and Generating Competitiveness.”

Over two and a half engaging days, speakers, participants, and exhibitors will come together to discuss how to remain at the forefront in a dynamic environment. As always, high-caliber presentations and practical demonstrations will provide insights into the latest technologies and developments in the tool grinding industry.

Diverse Lecture Program
The diverse lecture program will offer fascinating insights into the competitive landscape and the dependencies on critical raw materials, which will be comprehensively analyzed and evaluated. Innovative approaches and strategies for addressing the challenges of scarce resources will be presented. Leading machine manufacturers will showcase their latest advancements in technology, automation, and shop-floor management. Additionally, practical examples of how artificial intelligence can be profitably applied in production and metrology will be demonstrated. Participants can look forward to valuable inspiration for sustainably enhancing their competitiveness.

Focus on Practical Application
“The symposium brings together many industry experts and professionals who are eager to share their experiences and learn from one another. We continually provide our visitors and exhibitors with valuable networking opportunities, which can lead to collaborations on innovative projects or solutions to shared challenges,” says Prof. Dr. Wilfried Saxler, Managing Director of the Association of Precision Tool Mechanics, who is organizing the event with his team.

The symposium places great emphasis on the practical applicability of the content presented. "Participants can integrate the newly acquired knowledge directly into their operations, increasing efficiency and reducing costs, which ultimately strengthens their market position," Saxler adds.

People at the Center
As always, the primary focus of the event is on the people who gather in Wernesgrün—the "family" of tool grinders. Whether newcomers or seasoned professionals, attendees will find knowledgeable conversation partners to discuss all the current topics shaping the industry.

In honor of the 15th anniversary, the organizing team is planning a very special VIP evening at the Riding and Sports Hotel in Eibenstock. We’ll only say this much: FEEL THE SPEED!

For especially close "family members"—the FDPW members—discounts will once again be available: 30% off participation fees and 10% off exhibition costs.
